  1. Mash dal 1/2kg
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  3. Tomato 2(blended)
  4. Red chili powder 1tbsp
  5. Turmeric 1tsp
  6. Coriander powder 1tsp
  7. Cumin powder 1tsp
  8. Crushed red chili 1tsp
  9. Salt 1tbsp
  10. All spice powder 1tbsp
  11. Green chili for garnish
  12. Fresh coriander for garnish
  13. Ginger juline for garnish
  14. Oil 1/2 cup
  15. Onion 2(chopped)


  1. Firstly Boil mash dal until 90% done
  2. Heat oil in pan, saute onion, add ginger garlic paste,blended tomato, all dry spices and mix very well
  3. Now add dal, mix it, add 1/4 cup of water, cover it and simmer for 10 minutes
  4. Dish out dal and garnish with green chili, fresh coriander and ginger juline.
  5. Serve with roti or naan
