13 Pakistanis are Among the Top 2% of World Scientists

Only 13 Pakistani scientists were able to place in Stanford University’s top 2%, which was followed by 144 Pakistani students in the previous year’s list. Ironically, according to the Stanford University rating, all 13 of the Pakistani scientists from Islamia University Bahawalpur are among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.

Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Chairman Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhtar, Chairman Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Chairman Department of Green Healthcare System, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Prof. Dr. Zaheer Abbas, Department of Mathematics, Dr. Ismat Bibi, Associate Professor, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Altaf are among the 13 Pakistani scientists from Islamia University.

He has received congratulations for this honor from Deans and Director ORIC as well as from Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. It is important to note that Stanford University annually publishes a ranking of the top 2000 scientists worldwide, broken down by field. This list has recently included a significant number of scientists and researchers from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, which is a clear indication of the university’s high calibre of research on a global scale.

144 Pakistanis were listed by Stanford University of California as being among the Top 2% of Scientists in the World last year. One of the top universities in the world for both research and education is Stanford University.
