The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi has apprehended a suspect accused of producing fraudulent documents.
Identified as Mohammad Mushtaq Rajput, the suspect was arrested during a raid in Karachi.
The operation was launched following a complaint from the US Consulate in Karachi, which reported that Rajput had been deceiving individuals by providing fake appointment letters.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Rajput had issued a fraudulent appointment letter to a citizen while running a visa consultancy firm under the name “Mansoor Consultants.”
It was discovered that Rajput had charged the victim PKR 200,000 for the counterfeit documents. The forgery came to light when the victim attempted to verify the appointment with the relevant authorities.
Subsequently, US officials submitted a formal complaint, prompting the FIA to take swift action.
Mohammad Mushtaq Rajput has been taken into custody, and an inquiry has been initiated. Investigators are currently working to determine the full scale of the fraudulent scheme.
