The uniform policy and school hours for educational institutions operating under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) have been loosened. Islamabad is preparing for a severe cold wave, hence the decision was made as a preventative measure.
The new schedule will be in place starting on January 11 and lasting until further orders.
As per the notification, the schools/colleges and universities that operate on single shift will start at 08:30 am and the classes will end at 02:3 om form Monday to Thursday and on Fridays the classes will end at 12:30pm.
On Monday through Thursday, evening shifts in double-shift institutions will run from 1:30pm to 7pm. On Friday, it will begin at 2:30 PM.
On the other hand the educational institutes that operate on second shift will start at 01:30pm and the classes will end at 07:00pm. The classes will start at 02:30pm on Fridays.
