On Wednesday, law enforcement agencies informed a British-American author and journalist, Charles Glass, that his visa had been revoked. He was ordered to leave the country within five hours after his request to meet with former Prime Minister Imran Khan was denied.
Charles Glass, 73, is a seasoned author and journalist with expertise in the Middle East and World War II. He has worked with major media outlets, including Newsweek, ABC TV, and The Telegraph, and is now a freelance journalist.
According to sources, the renowned journalist was recently seen outside Adiala Jail with Imran Khan’s sister Aleema. He was staying at the home of Islamabad journalist Zahid Hussain when a large police team arrived.

On Wednesday afternoon, an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) and his team visited the British-American journalist. They initially stated their intention to meet with Glass, but later informed him that his visa had been revoked.
After a prolonged discussion lasting almost an hour, the ASP told Glass to leave the country by 5 p.m. The sources revealed that Charles Glass expressed concerns about arranging a flight and collecting his luggage from his accommodation.
The ASP suggested accompanying him to his hotel to fetch his belongings and mentioned a flight to Abu Dhabi at 4 p.m. as his departure option. The ASP also made it clear that he has been strictly ordered to ensure the journalist leaves the country.Â
They further added that the journalist was first escorted to his accommodation to collect his luggage before being deported to the Middle East.
