In a sigh of relief for overseas Pakistanis who are awaiting the delivery of their passport, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed to reduce the delivery time.
According to details, he issued the directive during his visit to Passport and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) centers in London today.Â
Naqvi ordered the concerned officials to ensure urgent passports are delivered to overseas Pakistanis within seven days. The interior minister added that normal passport will be issued within 30 days and this policy will be applicable to all Pakistani missions abroad.

During his visit, he took notice of the delay in the issuance of passport. The overseas Pakistanis complained that normal passports were being issued in approximately four months while urgent in one and a half month.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed displeasure over the delay in the issuance of passports. He warned of strict action of passports weren’t delivered in within stipulated time.
Moreover, the interior minister gave instructions for the establishment of a monitoring cell, headed by Personal Staff Officer to the Interior Minister, ASP Shahrbano.
Those who face delay in the delivery of their passport can lodge their complaints at email address: passport@interior.gov.pk. Naqvi also interacted with the Pakistanis at the centers, who expressed satisfaction with the the performance of NADRA.
The interior minister was accompanied by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Dr. Muhammad Faisal.
