Air Indus is preparing to return to the skies more than 11 years after suspending its operations, with plans to restart domestic flights before expanding its network to Gulf countries.
The airline, which halted operations on July 1, 2015, said it is completing preparations for its relaunch and will initially operate from its Karachi hub.

The first phase will focus on domestic services, including multiple daily flights between Karachi and Islamabad and Karachi and Lahore. Air Indus also plans to connect Karachi with Peshawar, Sialkot, Quetta, Gwadar, Faisalabad, Multan, and Skardu, while introducing flights between Quetta and Islamabad.
Once domestic operations are established, the airline intends to expand to international destinations, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait City, and Muscat. Air Indus said the launch of these routes will depend on approvals from the relevant aviation authorities.
To support the expansion, the airline plans to operate a fleet of narrow-body jet aircraft and later add ATR 72-600 turboprops for regional routes, particularly to smaller cities and northern Pakistan.
Air Indus said it aims to build its operations around safety, on-time performance, and customer service as it returns to Pakistan’s aviation sector after an absence of more than a decade.
