The government has announced plans to distribute electric motorcycles to the top 120 students of the Federal Board of Education. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by the Minister of Industries and Production, where the country’s electric vehicle policy was discussed.
The meeting also included discussions on a proposal to set up 40 charging stations for electric vehicles along motorways and national highways.

The minister instructed relevant officials to explore the possibility of installing charging stations at petrol stations to further support the transition to electric vehicles. In addition, the government plans to provide 39,000 electric motorcycles and 1,900 electric rickshaws to individuals at discounted prices.
Minister Tanveer Hussain emphasized that the upcoming electric vehicle policy is aimed at reducing carbon emissions and combating air pollution in the country.
On another note, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has unveiled four technical training programs designed to equip the youth with valuable skills. This initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to support youth empowerment.
In a similar move, the Punjab government has also introduced a program to offer electric motorcycles to students through easy installment plans, providing more opportunities for sustainable transportation options.
