Karachi’s Top University Announces Undergraduate Scholarships 

NED University of Engineering and Technology has introduced the Undergraduate Fellowship Program, which offers scholarships to all undergraduate students. This initiative includes support for 2,900 newly admitted students.

The university has earmarked Rs 23.3 million for this initiative, which seeks to support students financially and prevent any from having to discontinue their studies due to economic hardships. 

This fellowship program is named in honor of prominent figures Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar and Ms. Fatima Jinnah.

The program features a tiered scholarship system, providing full tuition and examination fee waivers for top-performing students. Scholarships will be awarded based on merit, benefiting 1,500 students from the Karachi Board, 300 A-Level students, and other deserving candidates.

Current students can also benefit from this program. Top performers in each course will be eligible for fellowships after their first semester. Students with a CGPA above 2.0 will get a 22% tuition fee discount, while those with a CGPA below 2.0 will receive a 15% discount.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sarosh Lodhi stated that this program sets a new standard in higher education, positioning NED University as a beacon of hope for students in need of financial assistance. The fellowship list will be published along with the merit list at the time of admission.

NED University continues its dedication to accessible education with this new initiative, complementing its existing scholarship program.
