With a monthly salary of Rs. 40,000, the Federal Government has started an internship program for more than 20,000 engineers across Pakistan.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal stated during the 56th Annual General Meeting of Institution of Engineers Pakistan that the government is trying to advance Pakistan’s engineering industry.
Iqbal added that the government decided to create a university in honour of the late nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and that a budget of Rs 6.5 billion has been granted for five universities.
Over 20,000 scholarships will be offered to unemployed graduates in Pakistan, according to a statement made by Ahsan Iqbal last month. These scholarships will be given to students from rural areas of Pakistan as part of the Youth Development Initiatives program, which was recently established by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. As reported, Engineering students are also anticipating internships for them as well.
