Lahore to be developed as Pakistan’s first smart city

Ch Parvez Elahi, the Chief Minister of Punjab, had a visit from Khawaja Tauseef Ahmad, the CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation Cultural Services Pakistan (AKCSP) before the soft announcement regarding Lahore to be developed as smart city happened.

During the meeting, the crucial decision was made to work with the AKCSP to develop Lahore into a smart city.

The CM also requested a project plan in this regard. He declared that Lahore would enjoy the distinction of being Pakistan’s first smart city.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), he stated, will aid in the digitalization of the city of Lahore and that urban utilities will be delivered via a mobile application, according to The Nation.
