You are required to send your CNIC number, without hyphens, to 8171. After sending the message you will get an eligibility report in response telling if you can get the money or not.

Visit the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program Web Portal on the said link. https://8171.pass.gov.pk. Here you can either enter your NSER form number or simply your CNIC number. The NSER form number is only for those citizens who have appeared in the survey. If you haven’t taken the survey you can enter your CNIC number instead. It also requires you to enter your mobile phone number. And then you can check your status by clicking the green button.

If you cleared the first step and you are eligible to receive the money, you can now visit the registration center. There are a total of 512 registration centers all over. You can check your nearest registration center on the said link. www.bisp.gov.pk. Visit any registration center and meet the agent. The agent will take your survey, and ask you about your income, property, and a few other details. On the completion of your survey they will register your name and give you a slip.
Receive the money for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program
On the completion of the second step, you will get registered for this program. The slip you got is the proof of it and you need to keep the slip with you. After a few months you will receive an sms saying that your money has been received. This is actually received first at the registration center where you registered yourself. On getting this message you can visit the registration center and collect your money. After you have collected your money you will again receive an sms of the successful deliverance of the money. Keep in mind that all these messages will be from the same number where you first sent the message that is 8171. Any message from any other number will be nothing but a scam.
