WhatsApp now allows you to transfer data from Android to iPhone

Data of your WhatsApp Android phone device will now be transferred to iOS, according to WhatsApp (Facebook Meta) and Apple. WhatsApp’s beta version will have the feature. It will be rolled out in stages over the course of a week to ensure that all users receive it. This will enable the android Users to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone.

“We’re adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption. This is a top requested feature. We launched the ability to switch from iPhone–>Android last year, and now adding Android–>iPhone as well,” he wrote in a Facebook post.

Data from the Android chat app will now be migrated to iOS, according to WhatsApp and Apple. WhatsApp’s beta version will have the feature. It will be rolled out in stages over the course of a week to ensure that all users receive it.

In a Facebook post, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the news.

Your Android phone must be running Android 5 or higher, and your iPhone must be running iOS 15.5 or higher to transmit the data.

The ability to transfer WhatsApp data from iOS to Android was introduced last year.
