Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, a politician and television broadcaster, was discovered dead at his home on Thursday.
He was discovered unconscious at his home and brought to Aga Khan University Hospital.
As per media reports, last night he was not feeling fine but declined to visit the hospital. Javed, one of his employees, reported hearing a scream from Liaquat’s chamber this morning.
His domestic staff broke down his room’s door when they did not receive any reply from him, Geo News reported.
The politician’s post-mortem examination will take place at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
In 2018, Aamir Liaquat was elected to the National Assembly from NA-245 Karachi-I East-IV.
Liaquat was transported to the emergency room of a Karachi hospital earlier this year when he complained of a cardiac illness, with some assuming that it was a heart attack.
