Possibility of an Extended Eid Holiday
Meanwhile, Pakistanis are anticipating an extended Eid break this year. According to the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, Eidul Fitr is likely to fall on March 31, 2025, as the Shawwal crescent is expected to be visible on March 30.
Since Eid is expected on a Monday, speculation is growing that the government may declare a five-day holiday from March 29 to April 2. If additional leave is granted on April 3 and 4, the break could extend to nine days, from March 29 to April 6.
However, the final holiday schedule will depend on the official moon sighting announcement.
