The annual Urs of the revered Sufi saint attracts thousands of devotees from across the country. To accommodate the influx of pilgrims, the district administration had earlier declared a public holiday in Jamshoro on February 17, shutting down government offices, schools, and public institutions in Sehwan.

To ensure the safety of visitors, authorities have deployed over 5,000 police personnel, including units from the Counter-Terrorism Department, Bomb Disposal Squad, and Rapid Response Force.

Additional measures have been taken to maintain crowd control and provide emergency assistance during the celebrations.

The Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar is one of Pakistan’s most significant spiritual gatherings, with devotees participating in religious rituals and paying homage at the saint’s shrine.

The event holds deep cultural and spiritual importance, drawing visitors from different parts of the country each year.
