UAE Reveals Reasons Behind Visa Ban on Pakistani Nationals

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has outlined the reasons for its recent visa ban on Pakistani nationals, citing various concerns ranging from social media misuse to criminal activities.

Official documents shared by the UAE government with Pakistan’s embassy reveal that the decision was discussed in a cabinet meeting after multiple complaints about the conduct of some Pakistani citizens.

According to the documents, certain Pakistani nationals were accused of engaging in activities deemed inappropriate by UAE authorities. These included protests, criticism of UAE policies on social media, and misuse of online platforms, which reportedly tarnished the country’s image.

Additionally, cases of document forgery, such as altered identity cards and passports, were highlighted. The UAE expressed concerns over individuals involved in criminal activities, including theft, fraud, begging, prostitution, and drug-related offences. These incidents were reportedly more frequent among Pakistani citizens compared to other nationalities.

The UAE government conveyed these concerns to Pakistan’s ambassador, stressing that the visa restrictions were the result of high-level deliberations.

The Pakistani embassy in the UAE has forwarded these complaints to Islamabad in an official report, calling for urgent measures to address the issues raised. Officials believe addressing these concerns is crucial to restoring normal visa policies.
