New Saudi Airline to Launch Operations in Pakistan

In a boost to Pakistan’s aviation sector, Saudi airline Flyadeal is set to begin operations in the country starting February 2, according to ARY News.

Flyadeal will operate flights connecting Riyadh to Karachi, with additional routes between Karachi, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The airline’s inaugural flight to Karachi will be greeted with a water salute by airport authorities.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted approval for Flyadeal’s operations in Pakistan, providing travelers with more direct flight options and enhanced convenience for trips between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s flagship carrier, Saudia, continues to excel in global rankings. In Cirium’s July 2024 report, Saudia was recognized as the top-performing airline for punctuality, achieving an impressive on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and a departure rate of 88.15%.

Looking ahead, Saudia plans to add 103 new aircraft to its fleet, expand seating capacity, and connect to more destinations worldwide as part of Saudi Vision 2030.

As a SkyTeam alliance member since 2012, Saudia plays a vital role in global aviation, offering scheduled and charter services during Ramadan and Hajj across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and North America.

Flyadeal’s entry into Pakistan marks another step in strengthening aviation ties between the two nations.
