Pakistan’s Likely Squad for Champions Trophy 2025 Unveiled

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is fast approaching, set to be held from February 19 to March 9 in Pakistan and the UAE. As the event draws nearer, Pakistan’s national cricket team is finalizing its squad, with several key players expected to feature in the lineup.

Pakistan’s squad is likely to consist of seven batsmen, four fast bowlers, three spinners, and one wicketkeeper. Mohammad Rizwan, the team’s captain, will remain the wicketkeeper, with other experienced players such as Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq tipped for a return to the squad.

Imam-ul-Haq, who was dropped after the 2023 ICC World Cup, has been in solid form in domestic competitions. He scored 212 runs in the Champions One-Day Cup, a performance that strengthens his case for a place in the Champions Trophy squad.

Shadab Khan, a former vice-captain who was dropped from the team in 2024, is expected to make his return as an all-rounder. Shadab has impressed in domestic matches, and his inclusion would add depth to Pakistan’s batting and spin bowling options.

The pace attack will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Hasnain. With their pace and aggression, they are expected to play a key role in Pakistan’s pursuit of glory in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
