Solar battery and panel prices in the country have seen a sharp decline, bringing good news for those shifting towards renewable energy solutions.
Dealers have reported a substantial reduction of 20% in solar battery prices.
For instance, the cost of a lithium battery has dropped from PKR 450,000 to PKR 380,000, while tubular batteries, previously priced at PKR 70,000, are now available for PKR 55,000.

The price of solar panels has also reached a new low, with the per-watt cost falling to PKR 28. Efforts by major importers to increase it to PKR 33 per watt have been unsuccessful.
Additionally, the demand slowdown in Punjab, caused by smog and colder weather, has led some brands to reduce the prices of solar inverters by 3% to 5%. This market trend is expected to reverse as demand picks up with improving weather conditions.
The rise in solar energy installations across the country is attributed to increasing electricity costs, frequent power outages, and rising summer temperatures.
The recent price cuts are expected to further encourage households to adopt solar energy, making it a more affordable and sustainable choice for addressing energy needs. Dealers predict an increase in sales in the coming months.
