Digital payments platform SadaPay has acknowledged a technical issue that caused incorrect deductions and negative balances to appear in some user accounts, saying the problem is linked to a temporary issue with one of its technology partners.
In a statement shared with users, SadaPay said some customers had reported seeing incorrect deductions and negative balances in their accounts. The company apologized for the issue and said it had identified the cause.

According to the company, the problem occurred after a temporary technical issue with one of its partner systems caused incorrect transactions to appear in certain accounts.
SadaPay assured customers that their money remains safe and said its teams are working to correct the affected balances.
“Rest assured, your money is safe,” the company said in its update to users, adding that reversing transactions across banks and partner systems may take some time.
The fintech firm said it is working to restore all affected balances to normal and expects the issue to be resolved within a maximum of 48 hours.
Meanwhile, some users have reported significant discrepancies in their account balances. One user said their account showed an unauthorized deduction of Rs. 2,500 and later displayed a negative balance of Rs. 7,410, bringing the total unexplained deductions to around Rs. 10,000.
The user also said there was no transaction history, notification, or OTP verification recorded in the app for the deductions. Normally, online transactions require a one time password for verification.
The user added that they had attempted to contact SadaPay support and submit a complaint but had not yet received a resolution. SadaPay said it has already contacted affected users and is working to reverse the incorrect transactions as quickly as possible.
