JAC to Launch Cheaper T9 Variant in Pakistan

Chinese automaker JAC is preparing to launch the T9 4×2 pickup in Pakistan, offering a more affordable alternative to the T9 Hunter 4×4. According to an exclusive report by PakWheels, the new variant will be officially rolled out in the first week of October, with local production already underway.

Industry sources said the T9 4×2 will carry the same design, premium cabin, safety equipment, and technology features as the T9 Hunter, with the only major difference being the drivetrain. Instead of a four-wheel drive system, the new variant will operate on a two-wheel drive platform.

This means buyers will still get the same rugged styling and modern features at a lower cost, but without the off-road capability of a 4×4. The pricing strategy is seen as a key factor in the launch.

PakWheels reported that the T9 4×2 is expected to be priced below Rs. 90 lacs, bringing it under the Rs. 1 crore bracket. This makes it a competitive option in the double-cabin pickup market, where affordability often determines choice.

The move highlights JAC’s efforts to expand its footprint in Pakistan by offering multiple options in the same lineup. With demand rising for double-cabin pickups, the arrival of the T9 4×2 is expected to attract buyers looking for value without compromising on comfort and features.
