The Karachi Board has once again delayed the results of the matric Science group. Over 180,000 students who appeared in the exams are still waiting for their results, which were expected by July 31.
Sources say the results are now likely to be announced in the second week of August. The main reason for the delay is incomplete checking of Sindhi language papers. Many teachers assigned to check these papers are currently on leave.

The board is trying to contact them to return and finish the work. This delay is creating major issues for students applying to colleges. So far, more than 100,000 students have submitted their applications for admission in government colleges through the online portal.
Around 50,000 have already been granted admission. However, classes for the new academic year may begin before matric results are released, adding to the confusion.
Adding to the problem is the lack of permanent staff in key positions. The Karachi Board does not currently have a permanent Controller of Examinations. Three deputy controllers have been suspended, and the duties are now being handled by an assistant controller, even though such appointments require approval from the Chief Minister.
