The Champions Trophy, featuring eight teams and 15 matches, will run from February 19 to March 9. Matches will be held across Pakistan and Dubai under a hybrid arrangement. Pakistan, the host nation, will open the tournament against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.
India’s first game is set for February 20 against Bangladesh in Dubai, with the high-profile clash between India and Pakistan scheduled for February 23, also in Dubai.
India’s decision to play at neutral venues stems from concerns over security and political tensions. This hybrid model will also apply to other ICC events in the 2024-2027 cycle, including tournaments hosted by both countries.
