Schools across Punjab will reopen on January 13 after the winter break, with the Department of Special Education adjusting school timings due to the ongoing cold wave in the region.
Special education institutions, which have been closed since December 20, will resume operations on Monday, with revised hours to ensure student comfort.
The updated schedule will see schools open at 9:00 AM and close at 2:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and on Saturday. However, on Fridays, schools will close earlier at 12:00 PM to allow students to avoid the harshest cold during the latter part of the day.

In response to the cold weather, the Department of Special Education has also relaxed uniform requirements for students in special schools. From January 13 to February 15, students will be allowed to dress more warmly to better cope with the chilly temperatures.
Additionally, all public and private schools in Punjab are set to reopen on January 13, as the provincial government has not extended the winter holidays further.
Despite the ongoing cold conditions, schools are expected to resume their regular schedule, with the necessary adjustments made for special education institutions to ensure a comfortable learning environment for all students.
