Fast food chain Salt is coming to Pakistan soon

The popular Middle Eastern fast-food chain “Salt” has announced plans to launch its operations in Pakistan, promising to bring its signature flavors to the country “soon.” Known for its wagyu beef burgers, Salt has made a name in Qatar and expanded across the Middle East, as well as into the UK and Hungary since its founding in 2005 by Qatar-based entrepreneur Ali Ahmed Buhindi.

In an Instagram post teasing the expansion, Salt posted, “Time to pass the salt, Pakistan! SALT is coming in hot with all the good vibes and flavors to slide right into your cravings.” However, the burger chain did not specify which cities in Pakistan will host its first outlets.

Salt’s menu features a variety of beef burgers, including brisket, truffle, signature, hook, and original sliders, as well as unique chicken options like Cheetos, pine chicken, and crispy chicken sliders.

Fast food culture is firmly rooted in Pakistan, where international brands like McDonald’s, KFC, and Hardees have thrived for years. In another major development, Saudi-based “AlBaik Food System Company” has taken a step toward entering Pakistan’s market by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gas and Oil Pakistan Ltd. under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Al Baik’s renowned broasted chicken and signature sauces could soon be available in Pakistan, supporting Saudi Arabia’s push for global expansion and reflecting the country’s growing food franchise market.
