In order to allow users to use the same number on several phones, WhatsApp is actively developing a feature called “companion mode.”
Users would be able to connect up to four devices at once, according to reports.
The companion mode was initially only available to tablet users as a test. The companion mode, which is only available to a select group of android users, will initially be available to WhatsApp beta users only.
The option to scan a QR code and connect their phone number to another device is available to those who download WhatsApp. By tapping the three dots in the top-right corner of the window, you can open the menu.
Prior to that, the messaging juggernaut WhatsApp officially announced its new communities and discussion groups feature on November 3.
The data indicates that the new function was tested at the start of the current year. The new discussion group feature will make it easier and more structured for organizations, clubs, and a variety of other groups to interact.
A number of updates and additions to WhatsApp have been made, including support for groups with up to 1,024 members, 32-person video and audio conversations, emoji reactions, polls, increased file sharing, end-to-end encryption, and the option for admins to delete messages.
