Pakistan to play final with England after India’s defeat

England beat India by ten wickets on Thursday to advance to the T20 World Cup championship match and will play the final with Pakistan as opponent. England easily prevailed in 16 overs without losing a wicket while chasing 169 runs.

The Indian bowlers had no idea what they were doing as England’s captain Jos Buttler and opener Alex Hales both scored blazing fifties.

India gave England a target of 169 runs by getting fifty runs from Virat Kohli and fifty runs from Hardik Pandya earlier. England had won the toss and decided to bat first.

The Men in Blue scored 168-6 in their allotted 20 overs, with Hardik Pandya emerging victorious with 63 runs in 33 balls. He struck out aggressively, removing four fours and five sixes.

Kohli hit 50 runs in 40 balls with the help of four fours and a six. Chris Jordan for England recorded 3-43 in four overs during the game.

The winner of the game will play Pakistan, which defeated New Zealand in the first semifinal, on Sunday, November 13.
