Officials briefed the CM that ART buses will be more space-efficient compared to regular buses. With a three-coach design, each bus will accommodate over 300 passengers.

The project will focus on eco-friendly transportation, as ART buses will run on solar power. They will also feature high-speed charging stations, ensuring quick recharges during stops.

Passengers will benefit from Wi-Fi access, CCTV cameras, and other advanced facilities to enhance safety and convenience. Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala will be the first cities to implement the system.

In another initiative, the Punjab government has started registering plastic manufacturers, recyclers, and sellers as part of a drive to eliminate plastic waste.

Special Plastic Licence Registration Desks are being set up across nine cities, with Lahore, Gujranwala, and Sialkot among the first to receive them. The goal is to turn Punjab into a zero-plastic province, ensuring a cleaner environment.
