Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has written a letter to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, urging a shift in policies, his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry revealed on Monday.
Speaking outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, where Khan is currently imprisoned, Chaudhry stated that the former prime minister addressed six key points in his letter.
Khan expressed support for the military in its fight against terrorism, acknowledging the sacrifices of soldiers and stressing national unity with the armed forces.

According to Chaudhry, the letter raises concerns over “fraudulent elections” and the alleged protection of money launderers. It also criticizes the 26th Constitutional Amendment for undermining judicial independence.
Additionally, Khan questioned the use of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) to suppress dissent and curb social media activity.
He also highlighted the treatment of PTI workers, the alleged role of intelligence agencies, and economic instability, blaming the government for artificially controlling the rupee and discouraging investment.
Khan urged the army chief to reconsider these policies and suggested forming a judicial commission. The letter follows recent meetings between PTI leaders and General Munir, where security issues were discussed.
