Establishing direct flights is a demand of the people of both countries.” His remarks, shared by BNN News on YouTube, highlighted ongoing efforts to facilitate airlines in starting these connections.

Bangladesh’s national carrier, Biman Airlines, is reportedly planning routes from Dhaka to Karachi and onward to London. The High Commissioner expressed confidence that direct flights would significantly boost trade, business, investment, education, and tourism.

This renewed collaboration follows a political shift in Bangladesh, with Sheikh Hasina’s removal from power in August 2024 paving the way for closer ties.

The launch of direct shipping services and Bangladeshi patients seeking medical treatment in Pakistan are other signs of growing cooperation. Khan’s visits to Peshawar, Lahore, and Multan underline the importance of fostering connections between the two countries.
