Two New Features Added to NADRA’s Pak ID App

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched an updated version of its Pak ID mobile app, introducing new features aimed at simplifying visa processing and digital identity verification.

According to NADRA, the update enables foreign nationals from 193 countries to apply for all visa categories through a more streamlined and user-friendly system.

A key addition is the passport capture and upload feature, which allows users to scan or upload their passport within the app. The system then automatically extracts essential information, including name, passport number, and expiry date, reducing manual entry and minimizing errors.

The updated app also introduces an enhanced biometric verification module, allowing users to complete identity verification through facial recognition. This feature has been extended across all categories, making the verification process faster and more accessible.

NADRA said the improvements are part of ongoing efforts to digitize public services and provide efficient, technology-driven solutions. The authority added that the app has been designed to offer a more seamless experience for both local and international users.

Users have been advised to update the Pak ID app or download the latest version from official app stores to access the new features.
