Punjab School Education Department has officially announced revised school timings for all public and private schools across the province during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to a notification dated February 16, 2026, the new schedule will apply to all schools in Punjab throughout Ramadan.
For single-shift schools, classes from Monday to Thursday will run from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. On Fridays, schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

For double-shift schools, the morning shift from Monday to Thursday will be held from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the evening shift will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, the second shift will operate from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
The department has also directed that girls’ schools will open and close 15 minutes earlier than the timings mentioned in the notification.
The revised schedule has been issued following approval from the competent authority and aims to facilitate students, teachers, and staff during fasting hours. All Chief Executive Officers of District Education Authorities have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of the new timings across the province.
The adjusted school hours will remain in effect for the duration of Ramadan 2026.
