The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued an advisory warning mobile users of potential service disruptions linked to SIM registration and CNIC status, urging timely compliance to avoid inconvenience.
In its notice, the PTA advised users to ensure that their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) are valid and up to date, as SIMs associated with expired, cancelled or unverified CNIC records may be affected under regulatory procedures.

The authority said users should verify their registration details and update any incorrect or outdated information to ensure uninterrupted mobile services.
It further advised consumers to contact the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for CNIC renewal or correction of records, where required.

The advisory comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen verification mechanisms and ensure that SIM ownership records remain accurate and secure.
