The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has issued a revised winter gas schedule for households in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announcing new timings for the months of December through February. Officials advised consumers to prepare meals within the designated hours to avoid inconvenience.
SNGPL officials said the company will supply gas in three daily time blocks: 5:30am to 8:30am, 11:30am to 1:30pm, and 5:30pm to 8:30pm. They stated that the industrial sector will not face load-shedding. They also noted that winter demand has “increased many times over” but maintained that gas remains available in the system.

The company urged consumers to use gas carefully because of rising costs. The announcement follows recent federal directions on winter gas management. On November 24, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik chaired a meeting and directed gas companies to ensure smooth household supply during the season.
He stressed that utilities must take all necessary measures to facilitate the public. According to the government’s statement, the managing directors of SNGPL and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) briefed the minister on national gas availability.
The meeting also reviewed progress on providing RLNG connections to domestic users. Malik stated that household supply this year is “significantly better” than last winter. He added that the improvement reflects the government’s focus on public convenience.
Officials from the Petroleum Division, SNGPL, SSGC, and the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority attended the meeting.
