The forecast covers Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad, and Mandi Bahauddin.
The warning comes just days after Karachi experienced one of its most damaging rainfalls of the year. Last week, torrential downpours submerged major parts of the city, leaving roads inundated and severely damaging infrastructure.
More than 200 millimeters of rain were recorded, leading to the deaths of at least 15 people from electrocution and other rain-related incidents. Rescue teams even deployed boats in several areas to assist stranded residents.
Even after a week, many neighborhoods remain affected by stagnant rainwater mixed with sewage, while prolonged power outages continue to disrupt daily life. The latest alert highlights the need for precautionary measures to minimize further losses.
