The Lahore Ring Road Authority is set to develop six modern rest areas along the Ring Road to enhance comfort for commuters and improve roadside infrastructure.
According to officials, these facilities will be leased to financially sound individuals and companies. The authority has already prepared a detailed lease agreement draft and calculated the estimated monthly earnings from the initiative.

Each rest area will cover between 4.5 and 5 kanal and include essential services such as a petrol station, tuck shop, mosque, clean washrooms, and food outlets. These amenities aim to cater to the needs of both long-distance travelers and daily commuters.
The six designated locations are Adda Plot, Halloki, Kamahan, the site opposite the airport, and Mehmood Booti. Authorities believe these sites were strategically chosen for maximum utility and access.
The lease offers will be opened soon, with expectations of generating over Rs. 200 million annually through this project. Officials said the final touches to the lease agreement are being completed, while site preparations have already been finalized.
This move is part of a broader strategy to modernize the city’s transport facilities and offer better services along one of Lahore’s busiest road networks.
