The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has finalised its pricing summary based on global trends. The oil industry has already submitted its calculations, and OGRA’s report will be presented to the federal government on Monday.
The final decision will be taken after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gives his approval. If approved, the new prices will take effect for the upcoming fortnight as part of the government’s routine review of fuel prices.
Earlier this month, petrol was increased by Rs. 8.36 to Rs. 266.79 per litre, and diesel by Rs. 10.39 to Rs. 272.98, after tensions in the Middle East disrupted global oil markets. Pakistan meets nearly 85% of its fuel demand through imports.
