The District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore has issued clear directives to private schools, stating that they cannot raise annual tuition fees by more than 5 percent.
In a circular sent to school administrations, the DEA emphasized that no extra charges beyond the approved fee structure may be collected. It also stated that no student can be expelled from school due to late payment of fees.

The circular further clarifies that schools are not allowed to collect advance fees or charge for more than one month at a time. Additionally, collecting fees for summer camps has been prohibited.
According to the authority, schools also cannot force parents to buy books or uniforms from a specific vendor or location.
Strict action will be taken under the applicable laws if any school is found violating these instructions.
The move aims to protect students and parents from financial exploitation and ensure fair practices in the private education sector.
