NAB Investigates Land Scam Involving Six Lahore Housing Schemes

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated a major investigation into the alleged embezzlement of 2,809 kanals of state-owned land by Divine Developers near Lahore Airport Road. According to NAB, the land—spread across six adjoining villages—was illegally acquired through fake ownership transfers.

The affected villages include Mouza Gohawa (Tehsil Cantt), Mouza Kohar, Kair Khurd, Ajodhyapur (Model Town), Mouza Charar, and Sehjpal. NAB suspects the land was misappropriated for multiple housing and commercial ventures, such as Green Avenue Housing Scheme, Divine Homes, Divine Center, Divine Mega I & II, Cricket Colony, and Khuda Bakhsh Colony.

The main suspects identified in the case are Amjad Aziz, Majid Aziz, Muhammad Younis, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Akmal, Muhammad Afzal, and several of their family members. NAB claims these individuals set up more than a dozen companies to facilitate large-scale fraudulent land deals and accumulated assets worth billions of rupees.

NAB has issued a public warning, urging people not to engage in property transactions in the listed schemes. Those who have already invested are encouraged to contact NAB Lahore. Government officials have also been instructed to refrain from dealing in these lands and to submit all past land transfer records. All future transactions now require formal NAB approval.

Investigations into officials who allegedly aided the illegal transfers are ongoing.
