The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a fresh spell of monsoon rains starting from June 25, 2025, which is likely to affect almost all parts of the country. Below is a region-wise breakdown of the expected rainfall and the areas likely to be affected:
Kashmir (24th June to 2nd July)
Rain and thunderstorms with scattered heavyfalls (at times very heavy) are expected in:
Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhnoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur
Gilgit-Baltistan (26th to 29th June)
Rain and thunderstorms are likely in:
Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar.

Punjab & Islamabad (25th June to 1st July)
Rain and thunderstorms with scattered heavyfalls are expected in:
Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Mianwali
Additional rains from 26th to 28th June are expected in:
Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Layyah.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (25th June to 1st July)
Rain and thunderstorms with scattered heavyfalls (at times very heavy) are expected in:
Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Waziristan, Orakzai, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Hangu, Kurram
Balochistan (25th Night to 28th June)
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the northeastern and southern parts, including:
Sherani, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibbi, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Kalat, Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran, Kalat, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, Kohlu
Sindh (25th to 28th June)
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in upper and southeastern Sindh, covering:
Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Kashmore, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, Badin, Karachi
PMD’s Advisory The department has warned of possible flash floods, urban flooding, landslides, and road closures in vulnerable areas. All concerned authorities have been advised to stay alert and take precautionary measures.
