The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new incentive program that allows individuals to earn up to Rs. 500,000 by sharing credible information about smuggling activities.
This initiative falls under the newly established Customs Command Fund (CCF), notified through SRO 908(I)/2025.

The CCF is designed to boost anti-smuggling efforts by providing upfront payments to informers and offering special rewards to customs officers involved in successful operations. Informers whose tips lead to major seizures or arrests can now receive a reward of up to Rs. 500,000 per case.
The fund will also be used for covering logistical costs, transportation, storage, and the destruction of confiscated smuggled goods. It ensures customs staff working in remote or high-risk areas have access to supplies, safety gear, and essential utilities.
In addition to paying informers, the FBR has authorised CCF committees at each enforcement office to approve special rewards for officers who demonstrate exceptional performance. These rewards can go as high as two years’ worth of basic salary, provided the efforts are well-documented.
This scheme is part of the FBR’s broader plan to modernize customs operations and strengthen enforcement across Pakistan’s borders.
