Trump Saved South Asia from Destruction, Says Pakistan’s Interior Minister

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has credited U.S. President Donald Trump with playing a decisive role in averting a potentially catastrophic conflict between Pakistan and India. According to Express News, Naqvi said Trump’s diplomatic engagement led to a vital ceasefire agreement between the two nuclear-armed nations.

Speaking after a meeting with Acting U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker in Islamabad, Naqvi hailed the American president’s role in easing tensions.

Trump’s intervention “saved the region from horrific destruction”
and was
“a service to humanity,”
Naqvi said.

He also extended his appreciation to Ambassador Baker for the U.S. role in promoting peace and stability in South Asia.

Naqvi welcomed Trump’s
“positive views”
on Pakistan’s leadership and expressed the country’s desire to further strengthen bilateral ties with the United States.

The meeting focused on enhancing U.S.-Pakistan relations, discussing shared strategic interests, regional security, and the evolving situation following the ceasefire between Islamabad and New Delhi.

Ambassador Baker reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to its partnership with Pakistan:

“The United States values its strong ties with Pakistan and remains committed to cooperation across multiple sectors,”
she stated.

Interior Secretary Khurram Agha was also present at the meeting.
