The International Cricket Council (ICC) has cancelled the Champions Trophy 2025 trophy tour in Skardu, Murree, and Muzaffarabad after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) raised objections.
According to Indian media, the ICC made this decision following the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) announcement of the trophy tour schedule, which included visits to these regions from November 16 to 24. The BCCI reportedly took issue with the inclusion of Skardu and parts of Kashmir in the tour itinerary.

The ICC’s move comes amidst heightened tensions surrounding India’s refusal to participate in the Champions Trophy if hosted in Pakistan. The ICC has already informed the PCB of India’s stance, escalating the controversy.
In light of the ongoing dispute, the PCB had earlier sought a formal explanation from the ICC regarding India’s decision not to send its team to Pakistan. The PCB communicated this request in writing, acting on directives from the federal government.
The cancellation of the trophy tour is seen as part of the broader conflict between the cricket boards of the two nations, with the ICC under pressure to mediate. Meanwhile, the PCB continues to prepare for the event, despite challenges posed by India’s refusal and the ICC’s adjustments to the tour schedule.
