PM announces fuel relief package

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared on Sunday that the low-income population of the nation will receive a subsidy of Rs. 50 per litre as part of the petroleum relief package.

The choice was taken during a meeting in Lahore that was presided by by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting’s chairman proposed incorporating consumers who use tiny vehicles, such as motorbikes, rickshaws, and 800 CC automobiles, in the petroleum subsidy.

He sent orders to all concerned parties to complete a plan as soon as possible and see to its proper execution.

“Despite severe economic difficulties, the government is trying to help the poor in every possible way,” said the PM.

Musadik Malik, the minister of state for petroleum, gave a presentation to the group outlining the plan for implementing the low-income individuals’ petroleum subsidy.

According to PM Shehbaz, the petroleum subsidy will genuinely help the underprivileged.

Days before to its decision, the government raised gasoline prices once more by Rs5 per litre, bringing the cost to Rs272.00 per litre.
