The federal government has finalized July 25 as the date for the central inauguration ceremony of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme Phase 4, which will take place at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.
This was confirmed during a meeting of the special committee formed for overseeing the scheme, chaired by Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and co-chaired by Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood.

The session was also attended by Federal Ministers Rana Mubashir Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar, where participants reviewed regional application data, quota distributions, and preparations for upcoming ceremonies.
A key focus of the meeting was planning an extensive media campaign to raise awareness about the scheme. It was decided that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting would lead the promotional efforts, with Dr. Siddiqui highlighting the importance of effective communication to ensure transparency and outreach.
Rana Mashhood stated that regional inauguration ceremonies would follow the main event and dates for those events will be announced soon.
The Laptop Scheme is part of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme aimed at bridging the digital divide and equipping students with technology to support academic and professional growth.
