Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the opening ceremony of the newly renovated National Bank Stadium in Karachi will take place on February 11.

The event is set to be a grand celebration ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, which Pakistan will host from February 19 to March 9.

Renowned Pakistani singers Shafqat Amanat Ali, Ali Zafar, and Sahir Ali Bagga will perform at the ceremony, adding to the excitement. Fans can also look forward to a spectacular fireworks display and a dazzling light show.

Naqvi shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), calling it an “unforgettable night” and urging cricket fans to be part of the historic occasion.

Karachi’s National Bank Stadium is set to host three key matches during the Champions Trophy 2025, including the tournament opener between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19. The competition will feature eight teams, divided into two groups, with matches being held in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.

The highly anticipated Pakistan-India clash is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai, while the final will be played on March 9 in Lahore—unless India qualifies, in which case it will be held in Dubai.

With the stadium’s revamp complete, PCB aims to provide an enhanced experience for players and spectators alike.
