ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule Announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the fixtures and groupings for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Tuesday, December 24. 

The tournament, featuring eight teams, will kick off on February 19 in Karachi and conclude with the final on March 9.

The 15-match event will take place across venues in Pakistan and Dubai. Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will serve as hosts for matches in Pakistan, while Dubai will host India’s matches and the first semi-final. 

If India qualifies for the final, it will also be played in Dubai; otherwise, Lahore will host the championship match. Both semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.

Groups

• Group A: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
• Group B: Australia, South Africa, England, and Afghanistan.

Defending Champions Trophy holders Pakistan will play the opening match against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi. The much-anticipated Pakistan-India match is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.

• 19 Feb: Pakistan vs. New Zealand, Karachi.
• 20 Feb: Bangladesh vs. India, Dubai.
• 21 Feb: Afghanistan vs. South Africa, Karachi.
• 22 Feb: Australia vs. England, Lahore.
• 23 Feb: Pakistan vs. India, Dubai.
• 24 Feb: Bangladesh vs. New Zealand, Rawalpindi.
• 25 Feb: Australia vs. South Africa, Rawalpindi.
• 26 Feb: Afghanistan vs. England, Lahore.
• 27 Feb: Pakistan vs. Bangladesh, Rawalpindi.
• 28 Feb: Afghanistan vs. Australia, Lahore.
• 1 Mar: South Africa vs. England, Karachi.
• 2 Mar: New Zealand vs. India, Dubai.
• 4 Mar: Semi-final 1, Dubai.
• 5 Mar: Semi-final 2, Lahore.
• 9 Mar: Final, Lahore (or Dubai if India qualifies).
• 10 Mar: Reserve day for final.

The eight teams participating in the tournament earned their spots by finishing in the top eight positions at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
