The cost of the Hajj pilgrimage in 2024 is expected to exceed Rs 1.1 million per traveler.
According to the draft Hajj Policy for 2024, it is detailed that the anticipated cost of Rs. 1.1 million will cover a range of expenses for pilgrims. One noteworthy provision is that single-family pilgrims will receive individual accommodations.
The policy has been submitted to the federal cabinet for their consideration and approval.
The Saudi government has designated 179,201 slots for Pakistan for the upcoming Hajj in the following year. Within this allocation, 50% of the slots are set aside for the government scheme, while the remaining 50% are designated for the private scheme.
Moreover, sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs have reported that Pakistani citizens will have a unique opportunity to undertake Hajj over an extended period, spanning between 20 to 25 days, marking a first-time occurrence.
