The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has introduced a revised nationwide gas schedule for winter 2025 to balance rising domestic demand amid a persistent gas shortage. Under the new plan, domestic consumers will receive gas supply only during specific hours each day.
According to the updated SNGPL winter gas timings 2025, gas will be available in three time slots:
- Morning: 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM
- Afternoon: 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM
- Evening: 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The schedule will apply to Lahore, Islamabad, and all other regions within the SNGPL network. Officials stated that outside these hours, gas pressure would remain low, and in some areas, the supply could be temporarily suspended.

SNGPL officials explained that the revised timing aims to ensure a fair and balanced distribution of limited gas reserves among urban and rural households during the peak winter months. They urged citizens to plan cooking and heating activities within the designated hours to minimize inconvenience.
The company emphasized that the schedule is temporary and may be adjusted depending on weather conditions and overall gas availability. SNGPL also appealed to consumers to use gas efficiently and report theft or illegal connections to help maintain stable supply.
This move reflects SNGPL’s ongoing efforts to manage energy shortages and maintain an equitable gas distribution system throughout the challenging winter season.
